Strategic Airlines has announced that it will add one additional service on the protected Perth-Derby route from August 4.
The new service will be operated by a 156-seat, two class A320 on Wednesdays. It will lift the number of frequencies on the route to four per week.

Strategic’s head of commercial Damien Vasta said that the additional frequency was driven by strong demand from both corporate and community customers for additional flights to the Kimberley. “There is a further need for flights to connect with departures from Perth to other major ports, which the additional service on Wednesdays will provide. This will give our passengers better access to destinations beyond Perth,” he said.
The additional service comes as Strategic plans to start direct flights from Brisbane to Port Hedland from August 3. The carrier also recently commenced three times weekly services on the Perth-Denpasar route.
