Korean Air Lines will feature the lowest density seating arrangement seen on an Airbus A380 so far when its first aircraft enters service in May.

The airline says it will have just 407 seats on the 10 A380s it has on order, comprising 12 first class and 301 economy seats on the main deck, and an all upper deck business class with 94 lie-flat sleeper seats.

By contrast, Qantas currently has 450 seats on its A380s, while Air France has the highest density layout with 538 seats.

The airline will initially place its A380s into service on short-haul routes in and around Asia before branching out further afield to the USA and Europe from August.
