Cessna has announced it has now delivered more than 30 Skycatcher light sport aircraft.
Cessna has so far taken delivery of over 60 Skycatcher airframes from China’s Shenyang Aircraft Coporation at its reassembly site at Yingling Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, as the company plans to deliver 150 Skycatchers in 2011.

“Our US reassembly facility is receiving Skycatchers from Shenyang Aircraft Corporation at an increased cadence, but most importantly the quality of the aircraft continues to be excellent. Feedback from our customers – individuals and flight schools alike – has affirmed the need for a light sport aircraft with the Cessna brand. It’s encouraging to see the Skycatcher enter service in such a positive way,” Cesssna chairman, president and CEO Jack Pelton, said in a statement.
Peter Lang from Australian Cessna dealer Aeromil Pacific said a “considerable number” of Skycatchers had also been ordered locally, with the aircraft due to go on display at the Avalon Airshow in early March.
