returning home Former Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU) F-111C A8-132 has been trucked to RAAF Base Edinburgh, where it will go on display.

A8-132 was used extensively by the Edinburgh based ARDU for weapons testing for the type between 1979 and 1988, with over 30 major trials conducted. Following completion of trials, A8-132 was returned to the main F-111 fleet and resumed duties as a strike aircraft. The aircraft has been repainted in its original ARDU colours in preparation for going on display at Edinburgh, with camouflage upper surfaces and a white lower surface. (Dept of Defence)
