written by australianaviation.com.au | December 20, 2011

Australia’s business elite will joint forces with its top gourmands to raise money for homeless and hungry Sydneysiders.

The Qantas-sponsored “CEO CookOff” will see teams of 10 executives competing to prepare meals for some 1000 poor people. The CEOs will be assisted by 30 of Australia’s celebrity chefs, including Qantas ambassador Neil Perry, Peter Gilmore, Guillaume Brahimi, Bill Granger and Maggie Beer.

“This is a great opportunity for Australia’s corporate leaders to experience a first-hand connection with the needy and less fortunate by preparing their meals and breaking bread with them,” Qantas CEO Alan Joyce said.

Proceeds from the event, which will be held on February 6 in front of St Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney, will go to OzHarvest and Mission Australia.

CEOs can register for the competition at www.ceocookoff.com.au.
