Air France-KLM has finalised a firm order for 25 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with options.
The order, worth about US$5 billion at list prices, had previously been recorded on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website attributed to an unidentified customer.

A preliminary 787 deal had been announced by Air France-KLM in September as part of a split order that also included 25 Airbus A350s, a 787 rival slated to begin deliveries in 2014. As part of the September announcement, Air France-KLM said deliveries of the aircraft were to begin in 2016 with the Dutch carrier to receive the first 787s, but final plans have not been announced.
The 787-9 is the larger of two variants of Boeing’s carbon composite built jetliner, and will carry between 250-290 passengers. The Air France-KLM deal increases 787-9 orders to 305, with total 787 orders standing at 860, Boeing said.
