Australia’s aviation landscape is littered with those who tried and failed — and in late February, Air Australia became the latest name on the list.

The low-cost carrier, which for most of its life had been known as Strategic Airlines, succumbed to administration in the early hours of February 17 and went into the hands of Ansett’s former receivers, KordaMentha.
