Indonesian flag carrier Garuda has placed a firm order for 11 Airbus A330-300s, its third order for the twin-engine widebodies since July 2010.
The deal, worth US$2.5 billion at list prices, was to be formally announced by British Prime Minister David Cameron during a visit to Indonesia this week.

Garuda now has 21 A330s on order, all of which will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines. The airline said it will operate the new aircraft in a two class layout on services from its hubs in Jakarta and Bali Denpasar to destinations in Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific.
Garuda currently flies eight A330-200s and six A330-300s.
