Victoria-based Lovitt Technologies has won a $1 million contract from Boeing to make wing parts for the global F/A-18 Super Hornet fleet.
The contract comes after Lovitt recently won another contract from Boeing to supply machined parts for the V-22 Osprey. The company, which employs about 80 people, specialises in the machining, assembly and testing of aero structures.

Minister for Defence Materiel Jason Clare hailed the contract as another win for the government’s Global Supply Chain program, which seeks to link Australian manufacturers to global defence giants including Boeing, Raytheon, Thales, Northrup Grumman, BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin.
Clare said the latest award brought the value of export contracts won through the program to $446 million.
