Philippine Airlines will redeploy its flagship Boeing 777-300ER to Australia beginning on June 30, the airline says.
The Boeing widebody will replace the Airbus A330 and A340 the carrier currently uses on its Melbourne and Sydney routes.

Philippine Airlines took delivery of two new 777s in 2010 and initially operated one of them on its Sydney route before redeploying it to Vancouver and Tokyo. The return to Australia comes as the airline prepares to introduce two more 777s into service.
Philippine’s 777s are configured in a two-class, 370-seat arrangement with 42 seats in business class and 328 in economy. The carrier flies from Sydney and Melbourne to Manila five times weekly excluding Mondays and Thursdays.
