New carrier for Sydney, Gold Coast

Asia’s newest long-haul, low-cost carrier took to the air for the first time on June 5, with the inaugural Scoot flight from Singapore to Sydney.

In what is hoped is not an ominous sign, the inaugural flight was delayed by 90 minutes, leaving Singapore after a small technical fault was found soon after pushing back and compounded when an sick passenger had to be offloaded.
