A US company has launched a free app designed to help jet fuel customers find the lowest prices at airports around the world.
Delaware based Fuel Bidder LLC says its Fuelbidder.com app will help air charter or executive jet flight departments save time and money by leveraging competition between fuel providers.

“Many aircraft operators are only requesting prices from a handful of large suppliers,” Fuel Bidder marketing manager Paula Gruber said. “I think aircraft operators would be surprised at how many local or regional jet fuel suppliers can actually compete with the larger global suppliers.”
Gruber said it took customers about 10 seconds to initiate a fuel price request using the app by inputing their uplift date, airport, preferred FBO, estimated fuel volume and deadline. The app then automatically sends the price request to all registered fuel suppliers at the destination airport, and allows direct communication between customer and provider through a proprietary messaging system.
The app is currently available to PC and Android users by visiting Fuelbidder.com. An iOS version of the app will be coming to the iTunes store soon, the company said.
