New scholarships help create future leaders

While changes to government policy – such as access to HECS for flying training – would greatly assist the attractiveness of aviation as a career, there are many changes within the grasp of industry that should also be pursued.

At a time when 457 visas are being used to bring international pilots into Australia to fill the skills shortage – at least in aerial application post-drought – the industry’s long-term commitment to nurturing aviation careers and training has never needed a bigger wake-up call.
