Nicholas Caudwell’s SNP is a replica of the Sopwith Snipe – a single-seat biplane that came into RAF service during late 1918 only a few weeks before the end of WW1. Although too late for extensive use during the conflict, it proved to be more manoeuvrable and had a better climb performance than contemporary German fighters, even though it lacked the speed.
