Government is key to unlocking opportunity

Australia has been a partner in the JSF Program since 2002. A significant objective in joining the program was to open up opportunities for local companies in the world’s largest defence program. It’s timely to ask: How much more could have been achieved – and perhaps could still be achieved – with a vigorous, forward-looking, defence aerospace industry policy?

In a major development for the project, the three US services acquiring the JSF have formally announced their planned dates for Initial Operational Capability (IOC):
