The Skycouch, introduced on Air New Zealand’s 777-300ERs in 2011, comprises a row of three economy class seats that extend to create a flat space passengers can stretch out on.
Air New Zealand announced in November it had signed its first licensing agreement for the Skycouch, but a confidentially agreement meant it could not name China Airlines as that first licensee until now.
“We have seen strong interest from other airlines in the product and are exploring licensing agreements with other carriers on non-competing routes,” Air New Zealand CEO Christopher Luxon said.
