Web check is now available for all 12 Tigerair Australia ports.

“The key requirement is that customers print their own bar-coded boarding pass and bring it with them to bypass the traditional check-in queue. This also speeds up the baggage drop process for those with checked luggage,” Tigerair noted in a statement.

Cheap fares and all, one of the reasons I’ve been avoiding flying Tiger to Melbourne has been the prospect of hanging around for hours in that “shed” without windows they call a terminal, sitting on the floor for hours on end, or on a plastic chair if I’m lucky…
Sure, they’ve probably had to pay some $$ for a technology upgrade, but I for one will be more willing now to book with TT now that I know I don’t have to arrive and check in hours in advance!
