“It is an honour to welcome the Royal Brunei Airlines’ ‘Betterfly’ to Melbourne,” His Excellency Zakaria Ahmad, the Brunei High Commissioner in Australia said. “The Dreamliner is indeed a remarkable aircraft and together with the high standard of RB’s customer service, I am confident this new product will provide the travelling passenger with a very high level of comfort.”

Added airline Deputy Chairman Dermot Mannion: “Australia represents an important market for RB and the long awaited arrival of our Dreamliner will serve to cement our growing status as a real competitor in this market. We have been operating a service to Australia for three years but with this launch, Royal Brunei Airlines now becomes the first airline in the world to offer an exclusive Dreamliner service on all long-haul flights which again is a testament to our ambition to offer a truly personal and award-winning service to all passengers.”

To celebrate the start of 787 services, the airline is offering special introductory return fares to Brunei from $696, to Dubai from $958, and to London from $1,387.

3 years operating to Melbourne not 3 years operating to Australia. They use to fly to Perth, Darwin and Brisbane for many years in the past.
