Victorian Minister for Tourism and Major Events, Louise Asher announced the services will initially operate twice a week, but will increase to three times a week from October.
“This new market will add to Victoria’s existing portfolio of international markets, which saw international overnight visitors to Victoria increase by 10.3 per cent to 1.96 million for the year ending December 2013, Asher said in a statement. “Melbourne Airport is the gateway for Victoria and the introduction of Aircalin contributes to its growing international network.”
Melbourne is Aircalin’s third Australian destination after Sydney and Brisbane.
