After being awarded the Victorian Government air ambulance contract earlier this year, Australian Helicopters has signed a contract for six new AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters to fulfil the contract.
The aircraft will be based at Essendon, Bendigo, Latrobe Valley and Warrnambool airports from January 2016 and will include a dedicated backup machine, and will replace the company’s current fleet of five machines.
