Embraer has put on display a full-size passenger cabin mock-up of its new E-Jets E2 at the Farnborough Airshow.
The cabin was designed by UK design firm Priestmangoode in conjunction with Embraer. It features the familiar 2-2 configuration with but with new slimline 18.3 inch wide seats, new overhead bins that are 40 per cent bigger than those on the current E-jets, and new over passenger units with ergonomic control panels for lights and air-conditioning.

“E-Jets have always been a favourite of passengers because of their excellent comfort and individual space in a cabin where every seat is either a window or aisle,” president and CEO, Embraer Commercial Aviation, Paulo Cesar Silva said in a statement. “There are no uncomfortable middle seats. The new interior of the E2s will deliver an even more comfortable and functional environment that is tailored to passenger needs while maximising airlines’ operational efficiency.”
The business class seating in the mock-up is configured in a staggered way which Embraer says provides extra leg room.
Embraer says the modular construction approach of the new cabin, which utilises standard parts and structures, will make the E2 more attractive to aircraft leasing companies.

I travelled on Virgins E 170 / 190 several times, preferred them to B 737 mainline equipment.
Cant wait for the new E 2 versions.
