Training school Aviation Australia expects to have up to 2,500 students go through its new facility in Saudi Arabia.
The company has set up Aviation Australia Riyadh College of Excellence (AARCOE) at King Khalid International Airport in partnership with the locally-based Shamal Investments. The facility includes a hangar and aircraft maintenance training environment, Aviation Australia said in a statement, with the first courses to start in December 2014.

Aviation Australia said it won a five-year training contract with the Saudi Arabian government’s Colleges of Excellence in April 2014.
“Over the next five years, 2,500 Saudi Arabian students will receive training at Aviation Australia’s college in Riyadh,” the company said.
Aviation Australia chief executive Bill Horrocks said the college in Riyadh was a long-term investment that would help grow the company’s global presence.
