The world’s longest flight with the world’s largest passenger aircraft has landed at Dallas/Fort Worth airport.
Qantas flight QF7 landed at DFW at 1326 local time on Monday, September 29, following a 15-hour, 15-minute journey from Sydney.

The flight, operated by VH-OQL with a special livery on the tail featuring a hat and neckerchief on the Flying Kangaroo, was Qantas’s inaugural service to the biggest hub of oneworld alliance partner Amerircan Airlines using the Airbus A380.
Actor John Travolta was on hand to greet passengers at the airport.
The A380 replaced the Boeing 747-400ER that previously operated the route. The return leg, QF8, will be a direct service to Sydney, with the technical stop in Brisbane eliminated following the change of aircraft type.

Emirates fly`s Dubai to Los Angeles direct. No stops. 16hr20 in the A380. An hour longer than this flight Qf7.
Australian Aviation better get your facts right before blindly going ahead and publishing this rubbish. Qantas giving false info to the public as usual.

The still air distance between Sydney and DFW is 7,452nm, Dubai to LAX is 7,246nm.
Qantas schedules a flight time of DFW to SYD of 16 hours 50 minutes, whereas Emirates schedules a flight time of 16 hours 20 minutes for Dubai-LAX. Eastbound flights are quicker due to prevailing winds – SYD-DFW 15hr 35min, LAX-DFW 15hr 50mins

says:Nice to see Qantas using these AB380s for something other than Australia to UK and USA (LAX) Getting better use out of these Airbus products is good to see. I thought the additions to the Roo on the tail was a nice touch.

Perhaps though AA, you should’ve mentioned longest distance, as some like Phil could take your wording as longest time. I suspect however, that Phil knew it was a longest distance, and just wanted to knock it because QANTAS was involved!!!
