The RAAF has completed its first airlift of “military stores” to Kurdish forces in northern Iraq.
A 36SQN C-17 Globemaster delivered ammunition to Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan, after flying from Al Minhad Air Base in Dubai to pick up the load in Tirana, Albania and stopping in Baghdad where Iraqi officials inspected the cargo.

“The aircrew and support staff at Joint Task Force 633 have done a great job to successfully coordinate this mission to assist the people of northern Iraq,” Vice Admiral Johnston, Chief of Joint Operations, said in a statement on Wednesday.
“The cargo, in this case ammunition, was first inspected and cleared by Iraqi officials onboard the aircraft in Baghdad before the aircraft landed in Erbil.”

Maybe we could send a squadron or two of “Supers” over there to help our U.S. mates.

says:Completely agree but wouldn’t it be nice if countries like Saudi Arabia contribute on a contribution equal to our defense spending re there’s they spend over 50 billion compared to our app 30 billion, the other point would be send in food to help 12 months down the track having a red cross package thrown at you is better than a 7.62 out of a Chinese mil rifle
