Qantas on track for $1 billion full year underlying profit
Qantas’s best first half in five years has analysts tipping a bumper $1 billion underlying profit for the full 2014/15 financial year as the airline further screws down on costs and realises a potential $450 million gain from lower fuel prices.
The airline group said on February 26 net profit for the six months to December 31 2014 came in at $203 million, a big turnaround from a net loss of $235 million in the prior corresponding period.
