Aviation has its fair share of family connections. Children following in parents’ footsteps to the flightdeck and siblings crewing the same flight are not unusual occurrences. However, sometimes that family affinity runs even deeper, drawing in the generations across a broad spectrum of the industry.

Just the beginning

Growing up in Canberra, Tony Clark had a boyhood fascination with flight that was ignited further on a trial introductory flight paid for with $10 he borrowed from his grandmother. While he confesses to never having paid Grandma back, one would imagine that seeing where that first $10 ultimately led the bright-eyed youngster, she would be more than happy.
