Passengers on the two Bali-Perth flights and one Bali-Melbourne service, which are scheduled for daylight hours on Friday, will be contacted by email and SMS, Jetstar said in a statement.

The airline also cautioned that the flights were dependent on conditions remaining suitable for flying.

“The departure of any flights depends on favourable conditions continuing and they are subject to change based on forecast position of the ash cloud, assessment of safety to fly, and local flight approvals,” Jetstar said in a statement.

“Passengers will be notified to travel on these limited flights in order of earliest disruption (from 3 November onwards). In addition, a number of passengers who have previously advised urgent medical requirements may also be contacted.”

On Thursday, Jetstar cancelled all of Friday’s scheduled flights and those services remained cancelled.

Virgin Australia has also cancelled all of its scheduled Friday services to and from Bali.

Bali Airport was reopened on Thursday afternoon (local time).
