Having a business jet is supposed to make things easier. You can leave when you want, you can fly between cities not served by commercial airlines and you avoid the queues in the main passenger terminals. Except, that is, if you are flying into Australia from overseas.

Business jet users are having to line up with the rest of us at customs and immigration all too often these days, due to staff shortages at the Australian Border Force, the recently created government department tasked with processing incoming and outgoing international travellers.
