Pilot training and education company Airways Aviation has partnered with Southern Cross University to launch a Bachelor of Business (Aviation Management) and commercial pilot licence program.
The partnership was launched at Airways Aviation’s Gold Coast facility on April 7.

The three-year Bachelor degree includes two years of study at Southern Cross University’s Gold Coast campus, covering economics, marketing and aviation management, while students will spend a year at Airways Aviation obtaining their Certificate IV Commercial Pilot Licence and Diploma of Aviation.
To be eligible for the course, students have to have completed Year 12, or equivalent, and be competent in English. The total cost of the the three-year degree was about $140,000, comprising $77,000 for the commercial pilot’s licence and the rest in tuition fees.
Airways Aviation is headquartered at London Oxford Airport. It has established training centres on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Also, the company announced in September 2015 it has purchased a Boeing 737-NG flight simulator for its Brisbane flight training centre for multi-crew, jet orientation and 737 type rating training.
