Defence acquisitions are not without risk

As fate would have it, this issue I have written features about the Tiger ARH and MH-60R Romeo helicopter programs, one reporting on an on time and on budget FMS acquisition, the other about yet another audit report into a military-off-the-shelf (MOTS) acquisition that has been anything but on time with sustainment costs well over original budget.
