The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Pilatus PC-21 acrobatic display team are scheduled to be on display among a host of other military and civilian aircraft at the upcoming Wings Over Illawarra airshow.

The event is being held at Illawarra Regional Airport at Albion Park over the weekend of May 4-5.

Along with the PC-21s, the RAAF was also expected to bring its C-17A Globemaster, C-130J Hercules, C-27J Spartan, Hawk 127 Lead-in Fighter and P-8A Poseidon, as well as the Air Force ballon, to Wings Over Illawarra, according to the RAAF website.

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) was tipped to have its MH-60R Romeo and MRH90 Taipan, while Australian Army was also represented with some ground displays.

In terms of civilian aircraft, the Wings Over Illawarra website indicated Red Bull Air Race competitor and former RAAF F/A-18 Hornet pilot Matt Hall will be there in his Extra 300/MXS-R.

The flying program also includes a Learjet formation pair, T6 Texan and Wirraway, and Paul Bennett’s Wolf Pitts Pro, among others.

Aside from all the aviation-related attractions, the two-day event also includes freestyle motocross, classic cars and bikes, and carnival rides.
