Air New Zealand’s reduced international schedule will now continue through to 30 June.

Previously, the airline hoped to increase services from 1 June, but has extended its limited network due to government travel restrictions and low demand caused by coronavirus.

The updated schedule can be viewed at the bottom of this page.

Overall, Air New Zealand has reduced international capacity by 95 per cent from pre-COVID-19 levels, and domestic by 95 per cent.

Last week, Australian Aviation reported that the airline appointed one of the country’s most high-profile former union leaders to advise its board as it prepares to lay off 3,500 employees.

Former Council of Trade Unions (CTU) president Ross Wilson will provide an independent workforce perspective, the business said, as it downsizes and rebuilds.

Recent speculation suggests 400 pilots will be among those made redundant.

The airline has set up a dedicated COVID-19 information hub on its website, which passengers are encouraged to consult before calling.
