Warbirds on display included a P-40 Kittyhawk, 1942 Grumman Avenger, T-28 Trojan and Wirraway and the event was hosted with Paul Bennet Airshows.

Mudgee Aero Club president Gary Chapman told the Mudgee Guardian, “I was impressed with the show too, I’ve been to a lot of air shows and this one was quite impressive. We couldn’t have asked for a better day weather-wise.

“There were a lot of out of town visitors, a lot of accommodation was booked up and the people who were coming from Penrith, Newcastle, and Wollongong, a lot of them stayed for three nights.

“A lot of those were the car clubs, they loved it, and some of them were saying, ‘I wish we could get this kind of roll-up at our meetings’.”

The day also included a performance by the formation aerobatics team the SkyAces.
