A Tecnam P2008 made what appeared to be a perfect emergency landing on Collaroy Beach in Sydney at 2pm on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old male pilot was onboard with a 28-year-old female passenger and a one-year-old child, and all escaped without injury.

A beach buggy then attempted to tow the plane, registration 23-1600, off the sand, but become bogged down itself.
Witness Don Cunningham told the ABC he was drinking a coffee with his wife at the North Narrabeen Surf Club when they saw the plane coming in very low.
“I said, ‘Gee, that plane looks awfully low’ … and there was no engine noise,” he said.
“I said, ‘This looks pretty serious’, and we just watched and then, very gently it came down, down, down.
“It came a long way down the beach and it finally touched down here. It seemed to take forever to land and it came down properly because it didn’t flip or anything.”
The ATSB said in a statement, “The forced landing of a Tecnam P2008 aircraft on Collaroy Beach on Wednesday afternoon following a reported engine failure has been reported to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.”
