Comment: Aviation’s Future is Sustainable

As the industry moves out of the COVID operating environment, airlines will need to find the right balance between sustainability and profitability

Sustainability has become a global conversation whose importance has increased exponentially in recent years. The industry has set a target to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and Embraer has set ambitious targets in support of this goal. Our view is that regional aviation will lead the change towards a sustainable industry, piloting new technologies to maturity before application to larger aircraft becomes feasible.
