Jetstar is set to fly daily between Australia and Seoul (Incheon) with the addition of a fourth return flight from Sydney next year.
From February, the low-cost carrier will operate a return flight from Sydney or Brisbane to the South Korean capital every day as it launches a service departing Sydney on Mondays and returning on Tuesdays. The flights will add an extra 30,000 seats to the route per year.

Jetstar currently flies between Sydney and Incheon on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays as of November last year, and will in February launch return services from Brisbane on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
According to Jetstar’s Chief Customer Officer, Alan McIntyre, the airline’s Australia-Seoul routes have seen strong demand at both ends.
“From February next year we’ll offer a total of seven return flights a week between Sydney, Brisbane and Seoul, across every day of the week, creating more than 240,000 seats in both directions,” he said.
“Having low-cost fares available everyday means thousands more Australians and South Korean travellers will be able to take the holiday of a lifetime.
“We thank the New South Wales and Queensland Governments, Destination NSW and Brisbane Airport for their support of the South Korean routes.”
The Brisbane-Incheon route, which will begin on 1 February, 2024, was announced last month as part of a massive expansion of Jetstar’s Brisbane services, including shifting its Tokyo (Narita) service from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and launching new flights from Brisbane to Osaka.
Steph Tully, CEO of Jetstar, thanked the Queensland government and Brisbane Airport for their support by way of the state’s Attracting Aviation Investment Fund (AAIF).
“The new partnership with Brisbane Airport has unlocked about half a million new seats between Brisbane and some of the most popular international destinations on our network,” Tully said.
“Jetstar has a strong track record of stimulating travel through great value fares and this major boost to international flying for Queensland will bring thousands more tourists into the sunshine state from Japan, South Korea and across the Tasman.”
