A former NSW Roads and Maritime Services chief is one of three appointees to the board of Western Sydney Airport announced by the federal government this week.

Ken Kanofski, who ran NSW RMS from 2016 to 2019, will join the board of Sydney’s second airport alongside two other non-executive directors: seasoned director and adviser Donna-Maree Vinci, and Tim Eddy, who first joined the WSA board in 2017.

Aside from his previous role at RMS, Kanofski has also served as chair of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority and a commissioner at the Independent Planning Commission alongside his work as an independent adviser.

“The Australian Government is committed to building strong leadership across the infrastructure sector and I’m confident these leadership appointments will enhance capability and efficiency right across the board,” said Transport Minister Catherine King.

“The appointments of WSA Board Directors Mr Eddy, Ms Vinci and Mr Kanofski are a great investment into the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the region’s growing aviation needs.”

Eddy is a former partner at big four consultancy firm EY, while Vinci has worked heavily in the banking sector and has “extensive experience providing financial, strategic, and technological support to boards and services institutions”, according to a government statement.
