In total, 193 finalists from multiple sectors of the economy have been chosen to compete for awards across 10 individual and 15 group submission-based categories.

EY, one of the four largest global accounting networks, has secured 14 nominations across several categories, the highest number among all finalists.
Academics and researchers across various universities in Australia have also become finalists, along with legal and accountancy services providers, cybersecurity and defence companies, mortgage broking businesses, real estate agencies, and property technology companies.
The finalists were chosen using a robust awards methodology, which forms the backbone for assessing and benchmarking Australia’s leading AI professionals and businesses.
The judging criteria for the award categories are quantitative and qualitative and acknowledge growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to developing Australia’s AI toolkit.
To shortlist the finalists, all submissions underwent a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category eligibility criteria based on the information provided in the submission.
Those submissions deemed eligible against submission criteria were reviewed and assessed by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives (alongside stakeholders where required) to determine the finalists for each category.
Finalists’ submissions will now be delivered to a judging panel of respected academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. They will assess each submission against the criteria of each award category and score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria to reach an aggregated score.
Several judges will individually assess each submission for each category, offering a blended score and assessment.
The combined judging scores for each submission for each category are tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony at the Four Seasons Sydney on Wednesday, 6 November 2024.
