In a series of dizzying dips, dives, twists and turns, the team raced their zippy little drones through a complicated obstacle course in first-person view, beating 17 other nations to claim the prize.
“They came, they soared, they conquered. Huge congratulations to the Australian Army Drone Racing Team on their win at Military International Drone Racing Tournament 2024. What an incredible bunch of people,” event organiser Delta Hawks Event Services said in a statement.
In this special Australian Aviation video, Adam, Jake and Ben watch the drone footage as the team navigates the course – as well as some behind-the-scenes clips showing the racers in action.
