Now in its fourth year, the Australian Aviation Awards is an nationwide platform of recognition for leading individuals and businesses across Australian aviation.
Run in partnership with principal partner, UNSW Sydney, the awards program recognises the depth of talent across the aviation industry, spotlighting top-performing executives, aviators, trainers, technologists, technicians and crew. Students, academics, and large and small businesses are also acknowledged as part of the program.
There are 11 individual and 18 group categories to choose from with submissions closing this week.
Eligible professionals are encouraged to get submissions in quick by submitting an entry or nominating a colleague or business before submissions close on Thursday, 22 May 2025.

- Training and Mentorship Program of the Year

- Aviation Safety Professional of the Year
- Engineering Professional of the Year
- Executive of the Year
- Female Aviation Leader of the Year – SME
- Female Aviation Leader of the Year – Large Business
- Professional Pilot of the Year
- Recreational Pilot of the Year
- Rising Star – Large Business
- Rising Star – SME
- RPAS Pilot of the Year
- Young Pilot of the Year
The Australian Aviation Awards offer professionals the opportunity to be recognised on a national level, enhance credibility, and boost their career trajectory. The Australian Aviation Awards, in conjunction with event stakeholders Momentum Media, Australian Aviation, and a panel of leading aviation professionals, have developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading aviation professionals and businesses.
The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence and contribution to Australia’s aviation sector.
All businesses and professionals that meet eligibility criteria from across Australia’s aviation industry are encouraged to participate in the awards program.
