Jetstar is boosting its domestic services from Adelaide, adding up to 13 new flights per week.
The changes, to come in from 26 October, will see 350,000 extra seats from Adelaide to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, increasing the airline’s Adelaide capacity by 19 per cent over the same time last year.

The Adelaide–Melbourne route will increase from 35 to 40 flights per week, Adelaide–Brisbane from 10 to 14 per week, and Adelaide–Perth from seven to 11 flights per week. Jetstar will also base another A320-200 at Adelaide, bringing its local fleet to six.
“We’re thrilled to be adding more flights in and out of Adelaide, giving travellers even more low-fare options to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth,” said Jetstar executive manager, customer, Jenn Armor.
“This boost in capacity will add more than 350,000 extra seats to our domestic network. It’s a huge benefit for the state and a great way to help South Australians take off more on their next trip.”
The news comes as Adelaide marks a “record-breaking” financial year in 2024–25, with 8.7 million passengers, up 2.3 per cent on FY2024.
Brenton Cox, managing director of Adelaide Airport, said Jetstar has been “an important driver” for these figures.
“These extra flights and increased capacity will generate even more choice on popular routes. Double daily flights to Brisbane and more flights to Melbourne and Perth are a win for our customers,” he said.
“We thank Jetstar for basing an additional aircraft at Adelaide Airport. This is a significant investment from Jetstar in addition to the aircraft – also supporting crewing, ground handling and maintenance jobs.”
Jetstar’s announcement follows Adelaide Airport last month unveiling the next phase of its $600 million “Project Flight” aeronautical infrastructure upgrade.
The works will include expansion of the terminal to both the north and south, as well as a larger check-in area with overhauled technology and 25 per cent more capacity, and the addition of up to nine more aircraft parking positions.
Under the plans, the northern end of the terminal will be extended by around 10,000 square metres, including new domestic gate lounges, aerobridges, and office space, with works to start by 2026. The southern end will be expanded by more than 5,500 square metres, including two new domestic and three new regional gates, with works to begin by 2027.
