Large Saudi order under consideration

A large military order by Saudi Arabia valued at up to US$30bn (A$33bn) is currently under consideration by the US, the head of the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Vice Admiral Jeffrey Wieringa, told media at the Farnborough Airshow.

The potential order includes 84 new Boeing F-15 Eagles, 72 UH-60M Black Hawks, and the refurbishment of a further 70 F-15C/Ds already in service. The new F-15s are reported to be similar to the F-15SG standard currently being acquired by Singapore which includes the APG-63(V)3 AESA radar.
