First new F-16 for Pakistan rolled out

000001244f5d84384d29916e007f000000000001.F09-72926The first of 18 new build F-16C/D Block 52s for Pakistan was rolled out at Fort Worth on October 13. The aircraft, part of the Peace Drive I program, was presented to the Chief of the Pakistani Air Force.

The order includes an initial 12 F-16Cs and six F-16Ds plus options on a further 20 aircraft. Also included is a comprehensive weapons package and the upgrade of 34 F-16A/B fighter which were delivered to Pakistan prior to a weapons ban being enforced on the country in 1990.

Deliveries of the first batch of aircraft to Pakistan is scheduled for December this year.
