Jetstar ramps up domestic NZ services

Jetstar will add another 717,000 seats annually to its domestic New Zealand network from early next year as the budget carrier moves into the void which will be left from Pacific Blue’s departure from that market.

The new seats will be provided by two additional A320s which will be deployed in New Zealand from early 2011, and will see Auckland-Christchurch frequencies rise to up to seven services daily, Auckland-Wellington to five times daily and Christchurch-Wellington to twice daily from February 10. In addition, Jetstar will add four weekly Auckland-Queenstown services from December 9.
