Private funding for ADF pilot training?

New programs for ADF pilot training are under way following a recent DMO market sounding process to assess the viability of using a ‘public private partnership’ – or PPP – funding model.

A Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) industry brief on November 13 told potential bidders of their preferred direction and commenced a ‘market sounding process’ for the Air 5428 Phase 1 new fixed wing Pilot Training System (PTS) and Air 9000 Phase 7 Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) programs.
