Defence Retains Point Cook

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence, Peter Lindsay, Confirmed in Late September That Defence Will Retain Ownership of Historic Raaf Williams Point Cook as an Open Working Heritage Base, With Its Future Use to Balance the Operational, Heritage and Community Needs of the Base.

Defence Will Continue to Maintain Point Cook as an Operating Airfield Able to Support Military Flying Operations When Required, as Well as by the Raaf Museum. Civilian Flying Operators Can Continue to Use the Airfield, With Commercial Arrangements to Be Put in Place.
