Hawaiian Airlines has ordered an additional six Airbus A330-200s to join three already in service and six on order.
The aircraft will be configured to seat 294 in two classes and be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700s. Hawaiian currently has three A330s in service leased from AWAS, with the first of those delivered in May.

“These additional widebody A330s will give us more flexibility to pursue domestic and international expansion opportunities, replace our existing Boeing 767 fleet and improve our ability to compete profitably in the coming years,” said Hawaiian CEO Mark Dunkerley.
Hawaiian, which also has six A350 XWBs on order, flies between Honolulu and Sydney four times a week, currently with 767-300ERs.
