It’s not too soon to call Virgin Australia the winner

With Virgin Australia’s selection of the B/E Aerospace Super Diamond business class seat – a fully flat bed with direct aisle access in a reverse herringbone configuration that’s up there with Zodiac’s very similar Cirrus seat for the title of best business class in the sky – the die has been cast in Australia’s business class game of oneupmanship.

Qantas’s next generation seat is the Thompson Vantage XL product, also a fully flat bed with direct aisle access, but arranged in a staggered layout with all seats parallel to the aircraft’s centreline.
