Army Black Hawks head south

The Army marked the end of its S-70A-9 Black Hawk operations at Townsville on August 18 with a ceremonial flyover by six Black Hawks from B Squadron, 5 Aviation Regiment.

Bad weather days earlier had delayed the flypast that saw the six-ship formation, followed close behind by three MRH 90 Taipans, the type replacing them, fly around the northern Queensland city they have called home for the last 25 years.
