Singapore Airlines (SIA) is increasing flights to Brisbane, with another service to fly four times per week from November 2024.
Using an A350-900 aircraft, the SQ265/266 service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, adding to SIA’s existing three daily flights between Brisbane and Singapore and bringing its total weekly return Brisbane flights to 25. It follows a successful seasonal service this year.

The new flights will bring SIA to 99 per cent of its pre-pandemic capacity between Singapore and Australia, with the airline also planning to expand its services to Perth as well as to Sydney and Adelaide in 2024.
Louis Arul, regional vice president at SIA, says demand has been strong for travel both to and from Brisbane.
“We are happy to deliver this additional frequency which provides another option for travellers to Singapore and beyond to cities in Europe and Asia,” he said.
“We are particularly pleased to be able to announce this scheduled service one year in advance, giving our Queensland customers more departure times to choose from to best meet their travel needs.”
Gert-Jan de Graaff, CEO of Brisbane Airport, welcomed the increased capacity, saying SIA is a vital link in Queensland’s air connections to Europe.
“More recently it has come to play a key role in India’s emergence as the fourth largest contributor of overseas visitors,” he said.
“When you think about it, 25 flights per week into Brisbane is quite incredible. That’s 2600 services in and out of BNE each year, with the potential to move 787,800 people or fill Suncorp Stadium 15 times.”
SQ265/266 will launch on 28 November 2024, pending regulatory approval.
